As part of
my ongoing study of the world around me, I've decided to start exploring
a series of figure paintings. The study of the human body has always been
an integral part of an ongoing education in art, and today the puritanical
hypocrisy that is these United States has deemed that the unclothed human
form may be considered to be vulgar and obscene. For this reason, I have
to request that any young viewers should obtain permission from their teachers
and parents before viewing the following pages. I will be happy to address
any questions or concerns that might be voiced in response to my decision
to post this new body of work. And I guess I should also warn anyone that
might find images of the unclothed figure to be disturbing or upsetting
in any way should consider refraining from viewing this series of paintings.
